Equine Photographers Biography:

My background is in scenic/landscape photography of my beautiful home state of West Virginia; I continue to make my framed work available at local art shows as well as galleries. My interests have naturally expanded toward making memorable images from the equine world over the last many years. Growing up with horses, showing, trail riding, and just enjoying the sweet sounds and smells of the farm, this seemed a very natural progression in my photography endeavors.

For the last 5 years, I have been fortunate to shoot the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event and remain inspired, both personally and professionally by the equine and human athletes competing there.

I am located in southern West Virginia, which makes travel to Lexington, VA as well as Lexington, KY very convenient. I shoot various events at the Kentucky Horse Park as well as the Horse Center in Virginia; my schedule takes me to local shows, clinics and farms as well. I most enjoy offering personal photo-shoots at the shows, providing an unhurried session while competitors are in top form.

My philosophy is that people and animals are best captured through photography in scenic surroundings with natural light, which helps to produce honest smiles and expressions. God has given each of us a unique life; it is celebrating a measure of that light inside of life that remains my pure motivation.
