This is a photo taken indoors at the OBS Thoroughbred Sale in Ocala, Florida. The lighting in the auditorium was terrible, with fluorescent lights that all had a green tint.

The color adjustments are the first noticeable improvement, but if you look closer, there is a lot more to this image.

Obviously, the heads of the audience members were detracted from the photo, however, that entailed major reconstruction.

The gentleman wearing the ball cap in the lower right, was in front of the iron support used to hold the ropes, and the lines in each rubber brick of the flooring are lined up to be seamless.

The biggest hurdle in this photo, was removing the grey haired man in the forefront of this image. Notice that is head is covering the foot and lower leg of the handler, the rope, the rubber bricks and wood grain of the auctioneer’s podium. Everything mentioned had to be created in Photoshop and placed into the image with perfect precision in order to make the photo look like an original.

Another hurdle… The second handler walking behind the current handler! Removing this man from the photo also consisted of building and realigning wood on the podium and adding onto the sign.

A few other minor changes were made, such as removing the sprinkler from the ceiling on the right, taking out the window and cracks from the door on the left, and removing the third auctioneer from behind the horse’s head.
