Landkönig

Elite Hanoverian Stallion at Stud in California

Landkönig produced the highest selling jumper ever sold at the Hanoverian Elite auctions as well as a licensed son and a Bundeschampionat qualifier in '03 and '04. He had 10 offspring selected for German Hanoverian Auctions all from his first foal crop. Landadel, Champion at his 100 Day Test is one of the leading German sires and the most successful stallion of his age group, produced offspring like 2002 WEG finalist FeinCera, Lagoheidor, Landfriese, Landame, European and World Champions many licensed son's and 5 licensing champions.

Landkönig's dam line produced 8 licensed stallions, several stood at Celle. Landkönigs dam Luna, who was written about in Eylers millennium stallion book, also produced Devon champion Grön1ad, Gratulata, a World Cup qualifier with Michael Matz, Gina, breeding-champion of Luxembourg and Grand Prix jumpers Genua and Gentleman performing in the 1991 Bundeschampionat.

Landkönig scored an incredible 9.5 for stadium jumping at his 100 day test. His index is almost equally high in jumping and ridability. Landkönig who is easy to ride also scored 8's for character, temperament and willingness to work. Chef d'Equipe Herbert Meyer chose Landkönig to breed his own mares.

Lantinus, a landkönig son sold for 215,000 Euro, a record-breaking price, in the Hanoverian Elite auction of October 2002. No jumper has done this before or since! Landkönig had several top inspection foals, even some from TB mares, whom according to AHS judges Quarles and Richardson displayed extremely nice movement some equivalent to a 9 score.

In 2005 Landkönig earned a spot on the topliste Hanoveraner Hengste with a jumping breedvalue of 132, highest of any Hanoverian standing in North America. In 2005 his oldest offspring, 8 yr old son Lucullus won his first Grand Prix and 3 of his oldest, 7 and 8 yr olds, placed at 9 Grand Prixs, one sold December 2005 at the prestigious PSI for $437,000.
