Rocko is a gifted natural athlete. He has dressage movement combined with a compact powerful jumping style. He has jumped 3'9 with a rider aboard and will jump anything you point him at. He has also started Dressage training this year and will begin showing in 2006.
To complement his natural athletic ability Rocko has a wonderful personality, a no quit attitude and a huge heart. Rocko is very sweet, eager to please and learns quickly. He gives a two year old child, pony rides and has been ridden by a 9 year old girl. Everyone that deals with Rocko falls in love with him.
Rocko descends from bloodlines that established the standard for the section B Welsh Pony. He carries the bloodlines that produce the "old type" Welsh pony with "original" type, substance, good bone, and true pony character. He has all of these wonderful qualities. Rocko is Approved and Licensed by the American Sport Pony Registry. He was held out as an excellent example of a sport pony. His highest marks were in breed type conformation and movement.
Rocko received the highest scores at the American Sport Pony Inspection in "Breed type and conformation" and "Carriage and elasticity."
Rocko has just started his show career and is doing very well. In his second show, as a 3 year old, he was a Grand Champion Halter with 6 section B ponies attending.
In 2004 at 5 years old he started his jumping career. He is being shown in the open horse classes. USEF rules do not allow juniors to ride stallions, and adults can not enter pony classes. This leaves Rocko competing in open classes with the horses.
He started the year at schooling shows jumping 1'9". He ended the year winning the Division Championship in the 2'6"-2'9" open horse division at Pebble Beach .
