Svengali is a one-of-a-kind sire, with bloodlines and lineage that are not found anywhere else in North America.

Graded an Approved Elite Holsteiner Stallion at his inspection in Latvia during the final days of the USSR, Svengali received 10 in his bonnet points for conformation and 8 for appearance during his inspection. Imported in 1992 as a four year old, Svengali is classically and correctly trained to Grand Prix dressage and currently competes Fourth Level/Prix Saint Georges with his amateur owner and rider. He has extraordinary, extravagant gaits, the temperament of a gentleman, excellent bone and beautiful markings that enhance his mahogany bay color.

Svengali produces impulsion and elasticity, a calm and devoted temperament, great bone and incredible brains in his foals. A spectacular all around athlete, Svengali has produced hunter/jumper foals as well as world-class dressage prospects. His grace, charm and charisma are irresistible, whether in the barn or under saddle.

Svengali's sire and dam were both Approved Elite Holsteiners at the state-owned breeding farm in Kotsenia, Latvia, USSR, where Svengali was bred and born. His sire, Graphit, was an upper level dressage competitor, well known and recognized for his extravagant movement and glorious mahogany bay coloring; both of which are clearly seen in Svengali. His dam, Lingua, was an abundant producer, as well as a proven dressage performer. Svengali's sire and dam both come from long lines of Approved Elite Russian Hosteiners.
